Certificates *.ca
(too old to reply)

My Firefox 1.5 and Opera 9.27 get more and more error messages "can't
verify certificate" or some such. It seems I need *.ca files to import
into Opera but I have not been able to locate them. As it is I have to
hit "accept" many of dozens of times in a row and it's tedious.

I do not care in the least abut encryption. Reading public blogs or
reading Wikipedia is nothing at all secret, encrypting those data, so
that nobody but me can read them, is plain and utterly stupid.

Danke

Since the encryption began on all websites, and I can only connect to
dialup internet using Win98, I finally just quit using the www. All I
use now is usenet and email. They have been trying to destroy the
internet for ther last decade. They finally succeeded.

I remember when the internet was both useful and fun. Now it's like
going into battle in a war. Every two seconds there is some sort of
script or security error, or ads blocking the page I want to read, or in
the case of youtube, some sort of annoyance to make the youtube
experience as miserable as possible.

Encrypting read only info sites and blogs is totally assinine. But I'm
sure google will make more money as a result. After all, everytime we
open a website, whether we use google or not, google is tracking
everything we do and making money off of us. But it gets even worse.
Just open a facebook account and kiss all of your privacy goodbye.

But I lived 30 some years in this world without the internet. Back then
I used books and the telephone. It's time to go back to that. Canceling
my internet service will buy plenty of books. Come January 1, I will go
completely without the internet, and really wont miss it. In my opinion,
the internet is dead.

By the way, When you get a security error, and I have to
hit "accept" many of dozens of times in a row, just hold down the ENTER
key until those f**king security errors stop. That will accept all of
them and save you from clicking on them f**king security annoyances 20,
45, 73 or 142 times, just to open a goddamn website..
