Hitting the "T" key makes Windows Help appear
(too old to reply)

This is most annoying. about once every half hour of typing, the
Windows Help screen appears in Win98se. It always happens when I hit
a T key. (cap or lower case). This does not happen everytime I hit a
T, just on occasion. What is the problem? How do I fix?
Is there a way to determine ALL the shortcut key combinations that are
on a computer?

Thanks

I would try a different keyboard first, as much different
as you can find. It could be a glitch in the old one.

If that doesn't show up a rogue hotkey assignment, I'd guess a slightly
faulty keyboard, such that the F1 key and the T key are getting
connected in some way - sometimes, so suggests dirt or a loose
connection. (I know the two keys are a long way apart, but most
keyboards are wired in a matrix.)

First thing to try would be another keyboard - even if it's a laptop,
they can still use external keyboards. This will _probably_ prove it one
way or another - though it may just show a typing mannerism of yours;
I've often suspected certain odd things that happen are due to ways I
type! (Use of a different keyboard might stop you doing whatever you
are.) If the keyboard is identical in shape, that won't be the case.

If it _does_ turn out to be the keyboard, then unless it's expensive or
unusual, just get a new one. If it is e/u (such as a laptop one), a
thorough clean is in order - you'd be amazed what gets into them!

at last.. try a mouse-keyboard,
I use this as well in W98SE for foreign languages or
even when I use W98Se as VM on a Mac...
So you can work out, if it's a keyborad or a hotkey problem...
